DAY 1: NAIROBI – SIRIMON GATE 2650m – JUDIMERE CAMPSITE 3300m

After breakfast at 8:00 am leave Nairobi with a shared shuttle van to Sirimon gate where you will start your hiking to Judimere campsite. Trek from Sirimon gate to Judimere campsite is a distance of 9km that take about 3-4 hours trekking, passing through the forest of indigenous trees. Dinner and over night in the tent at Judimere Campsite.

DAY2: JUDIMERE CAMPSITE – SHIPTONS CAMP 4200m

Wake up at 6:00am in the morning, pack your belongings, and then have after breakfast at 6:30am. Leave Judimeer campsite with a picnic lunch exactly at 7:00 am to shiptons campsite a distance of 14 km a journey that takes 6-7 hours. Shiptons camp is located at the base of the highest peaks namely Batian and Nelion. Dinner and overnight in the tent at Shiptons campsite.

DAY 3: SHIPTONS - SIMBA TARN 4612M

After breakfast leave for a short sharp ascent to simba turn campsite for lunch,dinner and overnight stay

DAY 4: SIMBA TARN – LENANA SUMMIT 4985m - LAKE MICHAELSON CAMPSITE 3950m

Wake up very early in the morning exactly at 3:30 am to prepare yourself and the take pre breakfast at 4:00 am. Leave Simba tarn at 4:30 am to attempt the summit a journey that takes 1 ½ hours to reach the summit. Point Lenana is the third highest peak in Mt Kenya and the only one that can be reached by trekking. On a clear sky day, you can see Mt Kilimanjaro on southern side and Indian Ocean shining as the sun is rising. After enjoying the summit, descend down back to simba tarn camp for full breakfast. proceed further down deep lake Michaelson which is at the bottom of gorges and valley (a very nice campsite with fishing). This is where you will have lunch and spend your fourth night.

DAY 5: LAKE MICHAELSON - CHOGORIA ANABAS CAMPSITE 2950m

After breakfast experience a sharp hike to Kanyakine rock junction and then descend down to Chogoria Anabas camp where you will arrive in the afternoon for diner and last night stay

DAY 6: CHOGORIA ANABAS – CHOGORIA TOWN - NAIROBI

After breakfast, drive down via dense Mt Kenya rain forest to Chogora town where you will connect with a shuttle van back to Nairobi where your tour ends.
